With the ongoing potential for severe weather this spring, we would like to remind everyone of our severe weather procedures.
If a tornado warning is issued for our area during school hours, the following procedures take effect:
- Students and staff take shelter in the basement of the building or in interior closets with no exterior walls or windows.
- The building is in lock down and students and staff remain sheltered until the warning is lifted. No one enters or exits the building during the warning.
- Parents are notified via text message of the shelter lock down, and are again notified when the lock down has been lifted.
- Parents should not come to campus during a tornado warning, and instead should find shelter until the severe weather has passed.
