CLASSROOM NEWS

We are so looking forward to seeing you all and your children at Open House next week.  They get so excited to show you their favorite centers and activities. You'll get a glimpse of how they play in the classroom.  Play is vital in laying the foundation for education, it helps develop language, communication, motor skills and problem solving.  Something as simple as blocks can provide a valuable learning experience.  From distinguishing shapes to stacking and dumping, block play stimulates all areas of development.

Open House is also a wonderful opportunity for you to meet and chat with the Specials teachers.

While we have different thematic units each month, our goal remains the same: to offer love, comfort and security.  Their relationship with us will allow them to learn to regulate their emotions and begin to explore their environment.

This month we will focus on being thankful, Thanksgiving, cooking and cooking utensils.  Look for photos on Brightwheel to see what delicious treats we make with the children.

We have been reading Spot’s Halloween and Spot’sThanksgiving, we have been singing "5 Fat Turkeys" and  "All the Leaves Are Falling Down" .

In Spanish we are learning our colors rojo, azul, verde (red, blue, green)

Each day, as we walk back from the playground, we take a moment to thank God for all that He's given us.  This month we are especially grateful for family, friends and the food we eat.  (We name parents, siblings, classmates and what we had for snack ((Ritz!)).

Warmly,

RissaPaige
